Mission Statement
Since our doors opened at the beautiful David Adler Cultural Center in 1974, Dancenter North has pursued one goal: Offer the highest quality education in the performing arts with classes purely taught and built on basic technique. In 1980 we moved to this lovely and unique landmark building in the middle of historic Main Street Libertyville. With its great space, beautiful hardwood floors, and a history of the old vaudeville theatre it once was, our school continues to grow, giving our many students the opportunity for creative self-expression by providing the best teaching staff and true excellence in training within a caring and nurturing atmosphere.

Dance and the Arts are steeped in tradition and discipline and are a great part of the Humanities that is the backbone of our society. Our students use the tools they develop in their training at Dancenter North to be even better students academically, structured and confident individuals, physically healthy and appreciative of the soul and the beauty of music and the Arts. We are the lucky ones, for the creation of beauty through the Arts is the ultimate in human satisfaction. It passes on tradition and gives us hope.
