RETURNED CHECKS are subject to a $25.00 fee.

CREDIT POLICY -
Tuition fees are non-refundable. In some cases, such as serious injury or long-term illness, credit may be extended for future classes(credit remains on account for 1 full year). Requests for Medical Credit must be made in writing and accompanied by a physician’s certificate stating inability to continue classes. The medical credit will be considered only from the date that it was reported to the DCN office (not the teacher). All credits are subject to a $10.00 administration fee.

ATTENDANCE - Students are expected to attend every class in the level they are assigned and to arrive on time. Progress in class is dependent upon regular and consistent participation. Because of the disruption of class and the importance of the initial warm-up exercises, students entering class late for any reason may be asked to observe.

TARDINESS - Late admittance to class is at the teacher's discretion. Tardy students may be asked to observe class.

MAKE-UP CLASSES for classes missed are encouraged! Any classes may be made up any time during the current term in a similar type of class at the missed class level or below. Please come into the office to request a make-up slip. Make-up slips will only be issued according to attendance records for the current semester. Any classes not made up during the term are forfeit.

GENERAL RULES
Chewing gum, eating and drinking (excluding water) are not permitted in the studios, hallways or dressing rooms. (This applies to parents and siblings, too). Valuables should not be left unattended in the dressing rooms.

STUDIO CLOSINGS - Please visit the main page of our website at www.dancenter-north.com for class cancellations or call our office at 847-367-7970 for recorded class information on our voice mail system.

THE SAFETY AND SECURITY of your children are of utmost importance to us. For this reason we ask that you do not leave your children unsupervised for periods of time before or after class, and that your children understand where and by whom they will be picked up. We request parents of 3, 4 and 5 year-old students make themselves available during class in the reception area. Dancenter North is not responsible for students outside of class time.

Please do not stop your car in the intersection of Milwaukee and School Street to pick up your child! This creates hazards and traffic jams. We request parents of 3, 4 and 5 year-old students make themselves available during class in the reception area.

DEFILE CONCERT - Registration in Second Semester assumes May recital participation and reponsibility for costume costs.

EVALUATION CLASSES - Placement classes for new students are held at the beginning of the Fall Semester. There is no fee for the scheduled Fall Placement classes. Dancenter North students are evaluated at the end of the school year by the teaching staff and recommendations for future enrollment are given to each student (except pre-schoolers and adults). The evaluations for fall are final & are given with a great deal of thought for each child by not only each department head but also the school director.
