CLASSICAL BALLET
16 week Spring Session ~ -January 20, 2008 - May 18, 2008
Description: Although the influence of the European schools are evident in our curriculum, our teaching syllabus reflects the truly superior American style that has developed over the years. French terminology is taught and all classes are carefully planned to allow the student to grow to his or her full potential. Pointe Preparation does not begin until a girl has reached the age of ten or older and will continue for a year or more until she is ready for the rigors of pointe work.
Levels: Classes are grouped by age and ability level with level 1 as a beginning level through 8 as advanced. New students with previous training are asked to attend the placement class as described on the front page of this section.
Boy’s attire for ballet: white dance t-shirt, thick black tights, white socks and ballet shoes.
